Who We Work With
I would like to comment that as a resident in the area I have been impressed by the way the whole project has unfolded. The logistics seem to me to be well thought through and disruption has been well managed. Furthermore, although I am a layperson, the quality of the work seems high and your workers have been helpful, cheerful and well informed when I have spoken to them.
Resident, Smithdown Road, Liverpool
Please pass our thanks on to the workforce who carried out the resurfacing work over the last few weeks.
Our Association has a student property on Ullet Rd. We spend a lot of time there over the summer months getting it ready for the new intake of students in September. We saw the workforce on an almost daily basis and found all the workers to be cheerful, helpful and friendly, without exception.
The road now looks fantastic.
Housing Manager, local housing association Ullet Road, Liverpool
We are delighted at the restructuring of the Ullet Road junction which has remained almost untouched since the time of Queen Victoria. Xmas really has arrived!!!
With the new wider pavement, the turn into Greenbank has become less gradual and therefore sharper, which hopefully should force the drivers to slacken speed to some extent, but more safety provisions may be required.
There are many elderly people in the area, sometimes with mild dementia, who may not always observe strictly the safety rules regarding stepping off the pavement. They may fail to use the designated crossing point, or they may cross against a red light.
Thank you, and congratulations to all involved in the excellent planning of this project.
Residents of Sheltered Accommodation – Ullet Road, Liverpool
Last week we had a wedding, when I noticed work signs outside the gates of the church, I spoke to the workmen who were very professional and accommodating in moving the signs just before the wedding. They were great. If you can tell them it was really appreciated.
Best wishes and blessings.
Minister Unitarian Church, Ullet Road, Liverpool
Please pass on my thanks to the team who completed the work on Ullet Road recently. The road surface is transformed and recent downpours have proved the new drains at the end of Cheltenham Avenue to be working perfectly. I hope that the road surface at the Mystery end of Smithdown will get the same treatment soon.
Resident Ullet Road, Liverpool
I would like to commend the men working on Ullet Road, they are doing a fantastic job. Big pat on the back.

Thank you very much for coming to our meeting last night. All our residents felt that you were very helpful, and the offer to move Roadworks/Road Closed signs was much appreciated! The majority of our residents who have spoken to me, as well as the newsagents I have told you about, seem to be positive about the road works.
I'd like to confirm that the disabled residents I have discussed with you live ‘address given’. I'm sure you'll also be pleased to know that the newsagents have told me that they will let me know if they come across anyone else who is having problems, and I will pass this information on to you as and when (and if) I get it.
My thanks again for last night, and for all you're doing for us.

I am just writing to say how much your input into the Dowhigh road works scheme has been beneficial to me and other elected members, as well as to individual residents and residents groups, over the last 18 months...
Over a lengthy period (a year and a half!) of what has been a very difficult process at times, your input and liaison work has been essential. Being without busses for months on Ullet road in 2015, for example, was extremely difficult, and your role supporting residents then much valued
It has been vital to me as a local councillor to have you as the 'go between' with the contractor and also with the designers and Council Highways officers...
You attendance at residents meetings was particularly useful , so people living with road closures etc could speak to you directly and know they were being listened to.
Local Councillor, Smithdown Road and Ullet Road, Liverpool
I don’t know where to begin. Thank you so much for all your help and support. My residents will be so pleased. Your team has worked so hard to help me with issues raised I am so happy for them and must say it wouldn’t of happened without help from all members of the highways team.
Thank you so much. Greatly appreciated.
Local Councillor Anfield Liverpool Pothole Programme re Dowhigh’s Highways Team
I want to let you know how pleased I am with the two workmen Kev & Steve who have carried out the work on my shop front. They have replaced the kerbs and reflagged the area with the minimum of disruption. They have been helpful and obliging and carried out the work when they said they would and what a brilliant job they have done!
