Everton Park – Mini Roads Scheme

Some great footage from work taking place at Everton Park – a £330,000 scheme which is taking an underused amphitheatre in Liverpool and creating a new cycle track, designed to imitate a real road lay out.

Funded by Liverpool City Council and British Cycling, the 1/2km facility aims to attract and encourage thousands of youngsters to get cycling.

Dowhigh have been appointed to deliver the scheme which will also include new surfacing works, railing installation, new tables and benches as well as soft-play surfacing, helping improve the area and allowing the facility to be used all year round.

The scheme also sees Liverpool Council working closely with the non-for-profit organisation Peloton Liverpool to host and deliver a programme of cycle sessions at the facility over the next five years. Peloton will be provided with a container, tools, balance bikes and other accessories which they will use to host the sessions.
