Dear Dowhigh,
I just wanted to thank you for the amazing contribution you made to our scarecrow festival once again this year. As you know from all your previous involvement, Holly Trinity School’s Spring Fair is primarily a fundraiser for the school but now it incorporates the annual village scarecrow festival it has become an even larger event with many other charitable organisations such as the WI and Scouting becoming involved.
The school gate is the focal point for both the Spring Fair and the Scarecrow Festival, and with your help over many years with props and contributions the gate remains a huge draw. Here are two photos from this year spectacle hopefully you can see the importance of Dowhigh’s involvement.
I would also like to remind you of the year you donated all that sand, the theme of the fair was summer and thanks to your generosity a beach was created at the entrance. It was hard to get the younger children into the fair as they wanted to stay at the beach, indeed one boy stayed the whole afternoon!
