On completion of the programme of works on the A59 Black Bull, Walton Vale junction, Dowhigh as part of their Social Values commitment to the communities in which they work, have presented a special planter to adorn the new junction layout.
The planter is made up of different coloured timbers wired together to resemble the colours of the rainbow, around a concrete container. The container was filled by 2 young people who are completing their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, alongside Councillor Ann O’Byrne using a variety of winter/ spring flowering plants.
During the planting lots of motorist beeped their horns, giving the thumbs up in appreciation of the wonderful, colour vision which now stands at the junction.
