So great when we can help out in our communities, even in a small way which sometimes makes a big difference.
When Andrew Murtagh asked if we could help out with some road signs for his son who suffers from foetal valproate syndrome, we were glad to help! Steve Petche collected some signs which were not being used and delivered them to Andrew, who kindly sent in these kind words and great picture of James and his collection of signs.
“I wanted to put my record my heartfelt personal gratitude to Steve at Dowhigh. He arranged for my son to collect some old road signs which are out of use.
My son James has severe learning difficulties (he has a condition called foetal valproate syndrome) and it’s his birthday next week. He has been pestering myself and his mum for weeks now regarding Road signs which he absolutely loves alongside ‘caution wet floor’ signs!
I contacted Steve who was so helpful and generous and arranged for us to visit today. James is absolutely ecstatic and is admiring the signs like they are works of art!
It is heartwarming to see someone at a local company engaging with the local community. I will notify Rowan Park School where James attends of how helpful Steve and Dowhigh where.
Again, please commend Steve and Dowhigh for his action in making a little boy’s year!”
Andrew – from all of us at Dowhigh we’re glad James is made up with his signs and we’re happy to help! James… enjoy!
